Dr. Jean-Paul Abboud, MD, PhD

Dr. Jean-Paul Abboud is an Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, brows, and face. As a fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon, he is uniquely qualified to diagnose and manage diseases of the orbit (eye socket) and the lacrimal (tear drainage) system, and to treat facial trauma and eyelid injuries.

Dr. Abboud earned an M.D. and a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed an internship in General Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Diego's Shiley Eye Institute. He then pursued a fellowship in Orbital and Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at West Virginia University, a program sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (ASOPRS).

Dr. Abboud is fluent in Arabic and proficient in French. He is passionate about teaching others his craft and he is an avid artist who enjoys painting, photography, and digital design.
